Many times, friends form in the strange kinds of places. It especially happens in the animal kingdom. Nobody could have ever imagined that a silky, cool Golden Retriever would form a sweet bond with a group of tiny, weak kittens. Unfortunately, the Golden Retriever and the kittens were not the same species, but they became fast friends against all predictions. This is their story.

People love Golden Retrievers because they are friendly, loyal, and caring. It was the same with this Golden Retriever. This was a gentle as well as massive dog. He was calm in nature and had a beautiful heart. Always he was a sweet fellow, with all the kids as well as animals, so it was quite natural that he should be encouraged to bring new additions to the family into this world. But then when those kittens arrived at home, even this family was amazed at how rapidly change came inside this dog—the friend of this home as well as its protector for the cats. When they first got there, the kittens were small, weak, and needed care. They were found by themselves, without their mother. They were taken in so that they could have a safe place to grow and do well. There was no doubt that when it chose to be the beast of protecting these felines, the Golden Retriever wanted to keep them safe. For the part of the kittens, they felt safe and at ease with the presence of the dog. She helped me with love and compassion when I needed someone there for me most.
